PT was made in secret with part of MGSV's budget, and nobody at Konami except some devs knew about it.

Is Rehydrated a good casual game? Yes, pretty good. Does it have replay value? Not nearly as much as the original, as its platforming can be pretty restrictive. Is it a good speedrun? As of now, no. But isn't part of the hobby making it one?
