so everything is new
but it's a nice way to speed up a playthrough
You can see when I have huge bursts of playment based on my achivements
all are either from 2015, 2018 or 2020

Terraria is by no means the worst offender
there are games, with a retarded grind even if you cheat

I can handle the grinding in minecraft because after an hour or two you have enough supplies to last you like 20+ hours of game
unless you are building superstructures
I'm the type of guy who can spend 5 hours straight mining in mc
just chilling and listening to music in the background
I like games with a good grind
minecraft is low-tier for me
modded is a bit better
that is fair too. I also do not mind games that are good with grinding. I have always hated the post hardmode terraria grind
pre hardmode is fine and fun
modded minecraft is good if you set a goal for yourself
I love MC, don't get me wrong
just the grid for grinds sake part of mining
otherwise I tend to get burnt out
The thing I blame Terraria for a bit, is the patch over the course of years approach to games
I hate games where I don't know whether to play now, or play later
Terraria is fine
they increased the game complexity 10x
at least
so a 1.1 playthrough and a 1.4 playthough, are not even comparable
with terraria at least though, at every step of the way it was a complete game

I don't want to play 90% of an early-access game, and then replay the 100% completed game a year or two later
In the long run I don't really give a shit about the torch stuff since I'm just gonna go back to playing modded again as soon as it's updated

I think minecraft overall has more returning power to it
then terraria
in that once I am doing playing terraria again I will not touch it for another 3-5 years
I disagree but I've also played way more minecraft than terraria
even though I have well over 400 hours spent on it
hence why I like modded terraria
and modded minecraft not as much

I like both games and think they're both enjoyable
that's about as far as my opinion goes
