no one understands how SSDs work
I just....
I'm glad some people are calling bullshit on the rated speeds
But.... the more basic question is what's the point of a fast interface you can't saturate
your old mechanical hard drives, were conected using 6GB/s SATA CABLES
But you'd be laughed out of the room claiming you got anything more than a couple hundred MB/s
even if we believe that sony's drives are capable of 5.5 GB/s
they're... just not going to achieve that... at any point

Microsoft's tech for game cartridges is honestly more interesting
since it feels like they're trying to bring back eSATA
in a new form factor

since disks are not going to hold most AAA games
and USB drives would be too slow, without having some dedicated cache onboard the console
