not arguing that twitch is not better as a streaming platform
For a large streamer, I feel like engaging chat is a token effort (not counting paid shit)
For a small/medium channel, I think the approach is to designate a chat as "main chat" or to combine them via some 3rd party plugin
define large
chat for the viewer, sure
you or I can enjoy chat
when it's moving a mile a minute, it's a token efffort
"gee I better engage with chat"
"press 1 if you agree chat"
Jerma and NL get a pass from all of this critique
that's fine
I think youtube streaming is better for the kind of streams jim does as opposed to gaming
I thought they killed that
You don't
YT streams are meant for subscribers
not to browse top streams
YouTube doesn't want streamers
they want videomakers
Same reason they have that gay community Vine feature
on their app
Like I said before
I prefer video content
so I like infrequent streams on YT
Irronically, it comes back to something Rob says
"Like the creator, not the content"
I don't browse random streams
need to be a f a n not a v i e w e r
nice
live streaming videos is a cancer on the internet
and should result in the death penality
people like random challenge videos
that is the new meta
for gaming
I think livestreams are an enhanced form of letsplaying
and a downgrade of everything else
efap is my counterpoint
efap works better as a live format
why though? It's just a podcast
chat memes
