and for a lot of game modes, especially the LoZ and FE ones
there are metas that you have to keep up with
arcade is pretty consistant, top 30 games or so get played constantly
well, top 30 will fill a lobby in <5 minutes
top 100 will in <15
30 sounds about right to me tbh
With Warcraft 3 reforged
they should have chased custom maps
that's what people fucking wanted
Here's what you do
you make Warcraft 3 reforged F2P
and sell skins, monetize custom maps, and sell campaign add-ons
RTS games NEED to be free at this point
or else they won't survive
AoE remakes on Steam, not on the Microsoft store
1 was good but dated, 2 is nostalgia bait for some reason, AoM was the best, and 3 was fine
They also just remastered Praetorians
which was another classic game
Rise of Nations got a remaster
I mean, Northgard was fine enough
it was an early access game for a while
Year 0 was also fine
SpellForce 3 was interesting
not a true RTS, more like Red Alert
Relic is going to fuck AoE4 so bad
AoM kinda is unballanced
base was mostly fine
It's hard to complain an RTS is unbalanced, that's like saying Starcraft is unbalanced because they can zerg rush you
Atlantians are... something
Not saying it's perfect, there are some worthless Gods for sure
3 isn't out yet
and the way later chinaman expo was a disaster
AoE2 definitive has the new OP nations
that are being nerfed
AoE2 was never perfectly balanced, but all the new addons havent helped
I don't get the appeal of playing ladder for any of these games online
same
I mean I also have a really hard time replaying AoE2 in general sense I played it so much as a kid
total burn out
AoE1 and 3 have way more nostalgia for me than 2
3 was good
I dont care for 1
I get that it was good for it's time
but I had 2 first
Bopit, convince people to download a massive game, from a launcher they don't use, with an account many probably don't have
that right there
is SC2's problem
aside from the unclear explanation of free vs paid
