WoL, ranked MP, co-op, and arcade are all free
you pay for cosmetics, additional commanders for co-op, and the secondary campaigns
at this point, just make the fucking game free, confuse less people
they made WoL free when LotV came out
before this """f2P""" change
WoL was the good campaign tbf
HotS was fine, characters we good but it was less fun to play though
mostly down to injects
and zerg mechanics
look, it's gay you can't inject
and it's gayer that all the campaign maps (on expert) essentially require you to build 50 hatcheries
they should have just not babied the player
and let them inject
queens couldn't inject in the campaign
didn't have the ability
you build 5 hatch
minimum
on every map
it was my major gripe, coming from a high level player
WoL felt fun/challenging
HotS was a fucking turtle fest
LotV was fine
but it was 5 years too late
WoL was one of the best RTS campaigns, period
I'd kill for them to have improved the arcade, before the game kind of died out
God I miss SC2
Then I remember, that was 2011
almost 10 years ago
I could play SC2 arcade forever
It's not dead, it's just not approachable for noobs
and for a lot of game modes, especially the LoZ and FE ones
there are metas that you have to keep up with
arcade is pretty consistant, top 30 games or so get played constantly
well, top 30 will fill a lobby in <5 minutes
top 100 will in <15
30 sounds about right to me tbh
With Warcraft 3 reforged
they should have chased custom maps
that's what people fucking wanted
