The graphics of this Monster Hunter expansion are crazy

I really wish the monster Hunter base game was a little cheaper now

Or at least, make the first area free or something

Base game is 5 maps

(big hub zones, semi-open world)

expansion adds essentially 2 more

I'd say it's one of the better expansions I would have hoped for

It isn't just tacked on BS

My problem is, I think they went a little DLC heavy on the game anyway

selling stickers and emotes and stuff

It'd be cool to really drop the barrier to entry for new players, at least with the first map or something

Also Karp, I'm pretty sure I'm under-leveled for Iceborne somehow

I was doing 9* runs, but was probably in mid-tier 8* gear

What weapon set do you go with?

i tried a bunch out, but i stuck with the bow more because everytime i used a melee i'd just get stomped

I was ready for you to say you were trying to solo with the horn or something crazy

nah i didn't try the horn

it's full-support tier

you buff your allies

I found that I'm the worst with the axe-blade thing

the combat is slower than anything i'm used to

i always get knocked out during attack animations and stuff

I've got no advice for how to play the game well, since I'm pretty sure I play the game wrong

I run around sliding with the hammer, and do sick air-flips to knock things out

But I'm pretty sure I'm supposed to be attacking and dodging attacks, using items, and baiting out moves or something

Some day, I'll start a new character, and play though with a traditional build

the game just sounds long and frustrating to me

since he's just going to bum-rush you

and the Urugaan or whatever, in the same area, tends to beat me up too

There's a high-rank monster that spawns tornadoes

which counters my sliding somersault attack

so he was the one thing I can't farm well

wait, spike factory spikes are permanent in apopalypse?

no

9 turns passed and the spikes haven't despawned

that seems broken

its very hard because there is no AOE tower other than top path sub available

and you need tons of AOE to get decent times without suicidal strategies

i suppose the engineer with a trap is the closest to aoe you can get

that or middle path sniper

middle path sniper isn't fast enough

and trap is expensive

actually, druids have lightning don't they?

lightning doesn't do enough

you basically have to be able to beat the first 13 rounds simultaneously then use that money to make yourself strong enough to do the next 11 rounds

i guess you need to max out upgrades on the other 5th tiers, or i didn't max out the sacrifices properly

does this require adora?

i just tried again with correct sacrifices and it still didn't trigger
