So uh

4-6 have remakes for the DS 7 and 8 have remakes for the 3DS 9, the best game, will never get a remake

Yes

It's the last DS one, and my favorite for many reasons

It focuses much more on smaller stories and side plots than the main actual plot, which is also something dragon quest does a lot, but DQ9 REALLY goes into it

The big thing it lacks though, is good side characters until you meet train man. The game is played by (You) customly created protag, and the only party members you get are ones you make

4 is the start of real plot

So DQ9 lacks the wacky characters, except your gyaru fairy girl, which is a staple of DQ, so it is a little weird in that regard

but it also has some of the most interesting mini stories and the overall plot is different than any of the "YoU Are THE HEro" DQ games
