or bad subs
yeah, I get that. They should absolutely not be shit
or no subs at all
which is a lot of the reason I have no issue with just watching anime elsewhere
I don;t want to wait 4 months for Netflix to tell my how whitey gets fucked by her black bull
but with games, steam is allaround a good serivce in my eyes
Which is why I buy a ton of shit on Steam
It doesn't mean I have an obligation to only use Steam though
Play less things then max
the ability to wait for shit is a good skill to have
That's just it though, piracy is the solution
and it's here
There haven't been any good ones
Or hell, just do what I do and buy 50 cent games on a whim lol
Same
Which is why my solution to piracy is steam instituting a mandatory 5 or so % of the game being free to play
as a demo
if you could play shit risk free for long enough to determine if you like it, would you not lose the reason to torrent then
They kind of have that with the refund policy
2 hours free
essentially
refund policy was a huge gamechanger
for sure
and I would bet (have not seen the stats) game piracy went down slightly as a result
sort of
with Early access and Patreon shit
it's up high again
I think you have a moral duty to steal early access shit
no one wants to use their 2 hours, on Alpha 1.4
until they fucking release their game
There also comes those games, that use non of Steams features
which to me, is asking me to pirate it
There are so many ways to de-entice me from pirating something
#1 is making a good game
Same reason I back shit on Kickstarter/Fig
There are games I want to exist
see #1 is not even a factor for me because I just do not play bad games
Kappa
Spiral Scouts
mediocre, would not say bad perse
I just don't think anyone has any obligation to pay to consume media
In all seriousness though, I will buy shit randomly if it is cheap enough
I think there are so many easy ways, to get peope to pay for it nonetheless
and I don't think all games should literally be free
okay that was my main contention with what I thought you were crusading for
But I can't get on board with you having some obligation to pay for something
I do agree that all games should incentivise buying them through being good, and using features that paying would allow you to improve the experience
LNs are actually doing it right, ironically
movies too
physical/theatrical releases
and then digital releases later
Okay, so I got a fix for gaming
If I care about something enough, I'll pay a premium for the former
out of my own desire to see/read it
all games will come out on a streaming service like google stadia or at a game playing arena first, then 6 months later you can buy it on steam
Kappa
lol could you imagine the levels of piracy
