There are really only three types of attacks from normal human enemies though

And you either dodge, counter, or jump

I think there are points where the game doesn't respect your time, and could knock a health bar off the boss and we'd be none the worse

But just like Dark Souls, patience can often beat everything

All the bosses with three health bars are endgame bosses tho

Corrupted monk you can take out the first 2 by deathblows from the trees

Demon of hatred is easy once you understand its attack patterns and it need three health bars to pose a challenge

And isshin’s fight would be too short without 3 phases, and each phase actually adds something fun and challenging

The problem is, even once you learn the fight, you're often still sinking a ton of time in it each try

Especially if you're playing low-risk, on a boss you've spent an hour+ on already

If journalists didn't feel the need to bitch about needing an easy mode, I think more people would be on their side

I’m not against sekiro having an easy mode bc I’d never use it, but at the same time I feel it would take away from the game.

remove content and make every dialogue insulting to the player

Maybe bosses and only bosses do less damage and have less health

But lower item drops

The opposite of how the hard mode of this game works

All bosses start with X% knocked off each health bar

You're clearly aware that the game is being made easy for you

And maybe make deflect windows bigger

Don't let players swap in-game, make them have to toggle something in the main menu, buried in the settings

make it so you die thrice

Boss health isn't how you actually kill bosses either Leg

It just determines how fast they recover from poise dmg, which is how you actually kill them

Beast type enemies are the only enemies that health matters

I think that's how I'd do an easy mode just pre-injure the bosses change nothing else

Maybe have some demeaning messages pop-up, telling them to go fight the tutorial dude some more if they still keep dying

Give them hints on how to beat every enemy in the game

With a pop up window to annoy them

show a dodging tutorial every time they get hit

like how Blades shows an attacking tutorial every time you try to use a magic spell but fail to do so because the game is ass
