Deal supposedly cost $25M for 6 month exclusivity
They're hoping, that Fortnite kids will start buying games on Epic
(spoiler, they're not)
The idea being it will "lock" them into the Epic Store, like everyone is currently "locked" into Steam
The deals right now are ridiculous
Not to mention all the "free games" or whatever
I have my doubts that it works for them though
My own disdain for them aside, it just makes zero financial sense what they're doing
Given, that Fortnite gamers ARE NOT buying other games
I'd take another wave of minecraft kids over Fortnite kids anyday
I bet he got some sick skins though Max
In the long-run, it doesn't really matter honestly
Once they stop offering crazy exclusivity deals in a year or whatever
Games will just launch everywhere
Sell a dozen copies on Epic
And millions on Steam
Max
imagine forcing a bunch of Gamestop employees
To do fortnite dances
whenever they make a sale
The future is now
Max, my Gamestop still has GBA trade-ins
Sorry, pre-owned GBA games
That and the Funko-POP figures
make no sense
I can't imagine anyone buying either
If you guessed 25
You'd be right
😢 🔫
And Omega
