bowser in the fire sea is one, you can skip it on VC but you gain another A press of VC
so even on VC it is still 1 A press IIRC
been a while since I looked into this
the end goal is N64 0 A presses
VC does not
N64 does
VC because of floating point rounding allows you to skip the A press
The platforms in the lava will rise over time in VC
So if you wait like 4 days IRL they will rise high enough to let you skip an A press
I do not recall
there is some N64 specific glitch that you lose

the stars that VC adds A presses to are 120 star only
so I guess VC any% is possible
120 star and he wants to be able to do 70 star N64 as well
fire sea is still the roadblock for N64
we are down to 19 or so total A presses left for 120 star, most of them in tick tock clock
I am glad he hit an ABC roadblock and is working on the no joystick challenge
those videos are always hilarious if not as technically impressive
the 100 coin star one I posted a bit back for CCM was fun
you can typically just play them at 2x speed since he does not explain anything
and watch as he slides and backflips around

Honest answer:
In the lore, Nintendo has stated BotW is "Post-Convergence"
Didn't expand upon what exactly that means
But you can almost guarantee that it involves timelines crossing
Because of the stupid OoT split
Because of that, you almost have to assume canonically that there are at least two outcomes of each game (Link succeeds/fails)
So post convergence at this point could involve 100+ timelines
There are 6? Official cannon timelines right now
I just think OoT sets a precedent to split after the bad end of each game
3 from OoT, then 3 from Adventures
Good end, kid/adult and bad end
majoras mask kinda has the time looping thing that overrides the timetravel
if I'd have to justify why it has no splitting
