Zenimax pulled something sorta similar to 76 recently, the pushing something out with the IP as a way to pull people in. It held up as it's own game and is very fun though. (Prey). 76 already had an engine, the fallout 4 one, it had assets and a large following. It was perfect to turn into an online game by just using the brand as a selling point, while Prey isn't exactly the same case- Arkane split into two parts to work on Dishonored 2 and Prey, most moved to work on Prey after Dishonored 2 finished, and the Prey team had experience with the original Dishonored (hence why the game is very similar). Anyways, Zenimax likes to abuse IPs.
