If you're basing law off of the societal good it may do, banning loli and similar things actually does decrease the rate of active pedophelia
I still think there's a disconnect fundamentally though, as I've said before
though Gent, animated child porn (loli) was a far smaller contributor than child sex dolls in the one study that's out there
