Printed it out and it looks pretty good
thumb reveal
It was very pointless to make and print a case for something never released physically (let alone in the US) but I still think it came out pretty good.

I think if I wasn't a PC gamer, I might be more inclined to collect physical discs/boxes and the like
but that died with my 1,000 games on Steam
not to even mention all the other failed services I've used over the years (RIP those games)
I prefer having a physical when possible
I have about 200 or so games
And I have them displaying on my entertainment center
It's one of the few things I'm proud of
proud to have wasted so much money
kappa4
Actually I got almost all of it for free
So not my money
Gifts over the years, my parents games when they were younger
Mine now and part of the collection
I like collecting stuff, but movies/music/games don't scratch that itch for me
That's fair
I'm not sure exactly why
I like collecting books though
Nothing wrong with that
That's prolly one of the most common things people collect
I guess I collect game controllers
I think with games, I've been burned by physical media so many times as a kid,
and non-steam digital platforms
How did you get burned by physical stuff
metaphorically
So, I took up computers when I was REALLY young
lol Fire
and I would say my care for discs/floppys wasn't the greatest
and most CD readers would destroy a disc after some time anyway
Ah that makes sense
So a lot of my game I had my dad help me pirate
and burn to R/W CDs
we had a big folio of those
absoultely gigantic
I still have a lot of them
but plenty have been lost, or don't work, and all will fail at some point anyway
so I enjoy just having everything on Steam
which I (blindly) trust to not fuck me
I mean steam is the most trustworthy of the storefronts from my experiences
I just am old fashioned and like holding my games more than seeing a list of stuff I own
Prolly cause I grew up mostly with consoles, especially Nintendo
old PC games, that had boxes were better
but even then, nothing was standardized
so I'm not sure I could have even put them on a shelf if I wanted to
You'd prolly have to specially make the shelf the right height for the biggest stuff and then squeeze smaller stuff alongside
it'd be like an oversized book section at a library
I think you underestimate how crazy PC game boxes were
Here's LGR's
he shops around to collect any he can find
Amazing
at Goodwills and thriftstores and such
Not a lot of those around here
you live in the Black capital of the world
how do you not have goodwills every 20 ft
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
There are some around new York city as a while
But iirc not a single one in my borough
Man, you really don't have a lot
Is that long island
I thought you were on Long Island
Nope
Other island
Staten island
you do have some
but it's strange
there's like a deadzone of good wills
on your island
what did you do
I have never been to a goodwill so I didn't do anything
there are ~10 on your whole island
