i restarted the game and it told me i could get to abyss in the main story
also they do come as new classes yes bopit
i meant what level they come as
in main story
probably the same as every other student
they probably scale like recruits do
I still think they are bad anyway

2 of them have sub 40 spd growth
constance is
very good
yuri has low str and magic growth
yuri is a melee unit
and he hits like a noodle but has canto built into his crest
hapi looks just meh
hapi is for sure the worst one
her class sucks, she sucks, no canto
constance has 0 speed
constance outspeeds most stuff in the abyss
and does big dick damage
and has the super long range spells
when you get her in main campaign she will suck
she's still pretty good
use any mage instad
okay but
the long range spells are nice
fucking
dorothea has better spd growths
you know who has long range spells

although
I will say
if she has big dick dmg spells
with high weight
with that mag growth
I can see her ohkoing
max her only long range is bolting
and bolting is good

still good nontheless

I've only had it miss once or twice
I love the long range spells
fair enough
theyre really fun and useful because she's a flier too
meteor hits in a plus sign tho
so picking off archers is safe
does bolting do aoe?
it just crits a ton
I meteor is amazing
b/c you get hella value out of the aoe
all the long range spells are good
bolting is decent though
2 uses makes it good
meteor only has one use
which i think evens it out with bolting
sagittae is the best value of dmg/uses
so I consider itto be only of the best spells
the thing about mages is that
they have multiple spells to suit their needs
muchlike how you have many weapons
I don't think I'll ever consider a spell a "best" unless you mean neutral damage
iirc none of her spells are 3 range
even then they all have different speeds and etc.
which kinda sucks
I think thoron is actually probably the best spell
3 range + 9 might + 4 uses
4 uses kinda sucks so you only really use it when you need the range
I actually think dorothea has the best spell list in the game
if only her growths didn't suck so bad
