i dont really know what marks signify even
they are just random things you cen get that make a subtitle appear when you throw them out

i stopped focusing on alcremie until they release the other ribbons
marks are one of the cool things they added in Sword and Shield
there is no info on spawn rates though
Rare Mark True Sinistea star shiny is the rarest possible thing in the game I believe
