Riolu/Lucario are weird in game
I've never found them to be that good
if not for the anime, there's no chance they'd be such a fan favorite
the mega is neat
and the infinite accuracy 70 damage move is nice
3rd gym took a bit longer than I think it needed to

In game? Lucario's pretty good i'd say
good mixed attacker with steel typing

you can get gen 1 pokemon from the gen 1 ports to 3DS
you say that as if gen 1 pokemon are uncommon
