They would start out by cutting the dex down to gen 1 only again, where everything has pokken combat
I'd be fine with it since it would have actual innovation for the first time in a decade
give it Xenoblade 2 combat

i've put too much thought into how I would save pokemon
I still like the turn-based combat, they just never feel the need to make it challenging
my game would also have a 6 person party and a max of 6 pokemon per member
At least for the main game. It all has to be self-imposed, and you can only truly balance your personal rules after you know every obstacle
and no unscripted captures
so definitely not mainline
If I were to make a game, I would keep it turn-based but make the terrain come into play

unity is ez to learn
i actually want to use unreal anyway
i do know the basics but I couldn't find any guides on making a hex grid
I would probably use unreal but I work so much faster in unity
i just use c# wayy more than c++ in daily life
me too but C# is slow
it's fast enough for most things
I'm an embedded engineer but I have more experience in C# somehow
i wish i had more control over the garbage collection
when I was building a voxel engine that was the main problem I ran into
I want to do a cardboard cutout style hex grid fantasy strategy game, but even if i figure out the grid system and menus I won't have any decent graphics
that is also my issue
I have no artistic talent whatsoever
especially 3d
thats part of why i'm planning 2D sprites in a 3D environment
