The dlc kills me
It's gotten so bad
If HoI4 was more popular

They stopped selling most of the EU4 dlc because it looked bad
They had 100+ packs on the store
they really like milking that
Just counted, I own 50 dlc packs
Though a couple of those are free
Store sells 28 now, of which I own 16
did HoI4 have a season pass?
yes it did
its gone now
I looked at my purchase history
Stelaris is $120 right now
2 years old

That's without the premium edition
And without the soundtrack/art/books
not that much for a paradox game
thats the sad part

Company got on everyone's good side, and then started milking us fans
its ok for people already invested
terrible for new players
I hate it
If I want to play a game I have hundreds of hours in right now
probably part of why they have the "only the host needs the dlc for other people to use it in multiplayer"
And have spent ~$300 on
I have to fork over another $100 to even have all the options in my next game
like the only bit of good will they have
Now it is, before this last year I'd say most people thought very highly of them

stellaris is more expensive than HoI4
It feels bad as a new player to look at a massive paywall in front of a game
And for old players it sucks because you're on this treadmill to continue to pay them money, lest you fall too far behind
Cities:Skylines has that same problem
On top of a $30 game
