He didn’t seem too happy about the riots
Something about “who cares that some monkey died”
Or something like that
Anyways I’m well on my way to owning my fishtank PC with a Christmas tree in it
are you building your own?
Going to
cool
I’m going full gamer
I will finally be able to play the three darksouls games I own
make one of those budget $200 builds that can run crisis
go in blind
randomizer
Sounds like a bad idea for someone who got confused by base bloodborne
you can probably make something as powerful as my first build for like $700 these days
I spent $1500 i think
My paycheck this week and in two weeks from now will both be substantial
I should be able to afford something nice
go amd and then do whatever
I don’t know anything about gaming pcs
Never had one
~$1200 biweekly
but you'll get all your tax witholdings back next April
since I assume this is just a Summer job
get the massive case with great airflow and cable management
It’s a summer job but I’m probably still going to work on and off come college
as a trucker?
I am not a trucker
But no
Hours would be more reasonable
Since I wouldn’t sign myself up to do this
lol
ok, so you'll get ~$1200
but not get any back in April
Awesome
does your college heavily encourage academic research as an undergrad like mine did?
Good question
undergrad research is a meme
I just went there for a tour once then signed up
it's a waste of time for 2/3 students
mine paid pretty well
yeah, you can line up some sweet gigs working in college labs
I just feel the same way as I do about unis who force you to do Co-ops
where railroading people, ends up directing a majority of students to just go with the path of least resistance
my internship taught me the great lesson that I hate doing primarily database work
or it was more that I hate sitting around with no tasks for 40 hours a week because thats what it actually was
We had a NASA lab at my school, who just handed out internships like popcorn
and everyone who "didn't know what to do" just went there
I got this internship position before I got my lab job but worked in the lab for a few months before the internship started
fun work to pain that paid better
and never went back to that internship
I get paid enough, that I'm not going to be leaving my job anytime soon
but it is sometimes tempting
Just want to open up that pizza shop huh
there's a new competitor, opening up not too far away from my brothers
rusp what is your major again?
Corona has FUCKED them though
Spooky show them your terrorist beard means business
nobody wants to order from a sketchy brand new pizza place, durring the lockdown
My major is tentative TBH
ah I thought you had specified a science at some point
Rusp, just take whatever Bio's taking
do QDE
guess that isn't a real acronym yet https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantum_technology
Quantum technology
Quantum technology is an emerging field of physics and engineering, which relies on the principles of quantum physics. It is about creating practical applications—such as quantum computing, quantum sensors, quantum cryptography, quantum simulation, quantum metrology and quant...
en.wikipedia.orghe can't decide if he wants to do gender studies or not after he found out that his waifu is a trans rights activist
Bopit with another zinger
I’m between two different things currently
I still think I know where Rusp is going to college
Impossible
unless it's all a meme and you're going to a CC
for my school you had to be specifically accepted to the engineering college and undecideds were general engineering. You had to wait until sophomore to transfer into engineering or something if you wanted to swap in
That seems a bit restrictive, but not the worst
the curriculum is incompatible with the other degrees
that sounds omega gay
gen eds transfer strangely
that, is what I hate
Don’t worry spooky I am not going to a CC
My sister's school is like that
where every program has "unique" versions of all common classes
the gen ed requirements were so much better in engineering vs the other degrees though
