What's wrong with your computer, I thought you were getting it to turn on, and it was just flaking out
no it won’t even power
the psu won’t start up, but when i do the paperclip test i can get it to run
it’s only when i plug in the 24 pin connector nothing works
So if it's a good PSU, is there anything on your board that will turn on to indicate that it's received resistance

they shouldn't spin while everything is off though

but if my psu is working and sending power then they’ll turn on
anyway, the crux is either something is wrong with your 24-pin port (which is hard to do) or something is wrong with your power switch
I know you know this
There's just not much anyone can do to remotely diagnose what's wrong
I don't know of any good (safe) tests for the port, other than breaking out a multimeter
and checking impedance
might have to buy a new fucking motherboard

i found the ports where they’re supposed to go
yeah, the only really important one is the power switch, put that on your MB, wire the PSU normally
an see if you can get it to turn on

i just had to put in the 24 pin again
