just spent the last 12 hours working a a prject I procrastinated

Whenever anyone mentions a project here, I assume procrastination
I mean
I had 3 weeks?
yeah 3 is about right
Sometimes it never really comes to you until the last moment
but its a 55 minute presentation
combined with just coming back from co-op syndrom and cheme classes that whant to kill me
don't complain until you do a 40 hour straight assignment because your group project dropped the ball

sernior year i had so many simultaneous projects that i legitimately spent 40 hours without rest and barely eating at one point

when you get into the groove or w/e you don't want to stop
b/c if you stop you get distracted for 10 years
and you procrastinate even more
at least that's how it is for me
but uh
my proff is retarded
and is basically making the class teach the class
and also grade the quizes that they make for their presentations
he also has no idea what to do when he runs out of groups to present

and they have to be 55 minutes or you get penalized
we are not hitting 55 minutes
even if I try my best to ramble for half an hour
55 minutes for a presentation is ludicrous
0 faith in my group
first group did it
i don't even think my thesis defense was 55 minutes
but they had all the tryhard smart kids
ste the bar high which kinda sucks
also
we are graded on our distribution of work and how well we work together
if I do complain about how hard I carried my group
I probably get penalized
I'm waiting for the grade to be posted and then am probably going to ask for extra credit
That's one thing I kinda miss about college, strangely enough
Completing these large projects last minute
It felt good to hack away at these giant projects, in completely irresponsible ways, driven by an unmeetable deadline
I agree, work is boring because they make you stay on track
school projects also have the quality that they are achievable without the input of other people so you aren't constantly blocked from progress by waiting for necessary assistance
The other part of it I think, if it's not often you have different work, for different departments, needed at the same time
Workload is a lot more linear overall
I frequently have three separate things to work on and every single one is waiting on some random person from outside my team to help or provide a document
luckily youtube is unblocked
I feel like all my work is related, there are different tasks, but they all serve the same purpose
That looks really good for a 3D printed pistol
You can probably fire at least 7 bullets from that
The receiver isn't that hard to print, but it's hard to file everything down enough to get it to fire reliably
And especially for the metal parts of this
You need to spend so much on high-end 3D printers, the fear of someone just printing a gun at home are far-fetched
That said, it should be legal, so long as you serialize it
