Kushala Daora is my bane

well, right now it feels like everything in Iceborne is my bane, because I'm bad

I did some AT Kushala to get back into it just before Iceborne came out

bad choice

Iceborne has some annoying shit

but I haven't had too much trouble with anything

probably the most annoying thing so far is MR Diabolos

I didn't realize how low some of my gear was, I could brute force a lot of base game endgame content

since they reduced the endlag on his ground dive by a shitton

and he's EVEN MORE inclined to dig than before

I've never found digging fun

oh and dodging the ground dive with a superman isn't safe anymore

he recovers so fucking fast that by the time you can stand up and dodge he's already charged at you

actually retarded

gotta do some really janky shit to dodge it properly

he punishes you for dodging it the way everyone has been for ages

which is silly

I'm ready for the solution to every fight, to involve hooking onto monsters constantly

I'm convinced it's better than I think it is

nah Diabolos doesn't care

literally every move he does will knock you off

except maybe the tail swipe

digging just throws you off, even if you're in the middle of your finisher

I figure it's something I'd use more if I played with a controler

same with range weapons

oh and the hooking is insanely strong

the tenderized weak spots increase damage by a LOT

I noted it a lot at first

I'll have to do some runs to see if it gets my time down significantly

+ if you have slinger ammo you can shoot it into a monsters head to launch them into a wall

and get a free knockdown

now that, I like doing

it's a lot easier to line them up for big combos near walls/ledges

yup

I've probably used it most against Acidic Glavenous so far

since without purple sharpness you bounce off his hardened tail

but the clutch claw attack doesn't care about that

and it's a multi-hit, so it wears down his armor fast

I may be a small brain GS main, but I try to at least be good at that haha

How does claw work for people without the DLC, do they just get to watch you spiderman around onto everything?

or did everyone get it in the patch

I highly doubt they would have it

I figured everyone got it, until I was reading the tutorial in the training room

it just seems weird to lock it behind DLC

Iceborne is actually been really fun so far

Nah it's a part of the expansion

I don't think it's weird at all

and yeah I'm enjoying it a lot

The new stuff GS got is insane

you can build a TCS in like half the time

and do 180 turns to reposition

new slinger move just does everything

claw feels like something that in a lot of games, would be part of the "free" content patch that everyone gets when they drop the expansion mostly down to compatibility or whatever. like the extra decoration slots

and yeah, new slinger move on most weapons has been fun to try out

Haven't seen much use for the Hammer one yet sadly

though maybe I'm dumb and there's some good stuff you can do with it that I just haven't realized

but the GS one is actually fucking insane

Hammer is my go-to weapon it feels like a viable alternative to doing the quick side-bash

covers all of the GS weaknesses in ONE move

but it's definitely less interesting, as far as new moves go

haven't been playing Hammer for too long so I'm not super familiar with everything yet
