there's got to be obstacles that open up in the big area as you progress, maybe count the new parts as separate areas

wild areas are like multiple routes in size

and modern pokemon is stupidly easy except for the mega-necrozma boss fight

maybe 2 versions? One has you only catch one Pokemon in a new wild area, the other has you do both grass and water so 2 in a new wild area
