oh if you had normal earbuds
you could due transfer from pc to phone on network
but rip
Nah i was just gonna
Listen on phone to stream
U would think a $300 motherboard would have bluetooth, but no, fuck asus
hmm not sure if its my net or the server thats not keeping up
im experimenting with 4k output at 16k bitrate, and somethings not happy
Actual sever seemed fine
Wasn't monitoring the net speeds though
Don't think 4k should come even close to saturating anything
it might actually just be obs
not sure it can handle that much data
it was stable for a few seconds, then would just disconnect
ok, I threw up a 4k stream
this is having some issues, somewhere
server side or client side
neither, weirdly
OBS seems to look ok
server is definately fine
mine could actually just be cpu issues
but my stream is buffereing like a motherfucker
i noticed that too
is your obs dropping any frames?
is encoding overload
no dropped frames
not pinning my CPU
this is an OBS issue
I'd bet money on it
maybe limit of the encoder? try using the nvidia one
I'm just not sure what it wants
ok, maybe
get a second grahics card and use it for encoding
my card is fine
it's CPU constrained anyway
id try the nvidia one but im already killing my gpu
who woulda guessed the pretty graphics game was gpu hell
delay is also still around 18s
I haven't messed with the delay
I mentioned it was network related
I need to think of something clever to split my IP
just lettin u know
right now, I'm running it though a separate box, which sits outside my networks DMZ
which adds stupid delay
ok, this 4k stream has issue even when I'm doing it at 1000kbits
oof and there goes my gpu
oh hey, my gpu drivers crashing gave me my lower clock speeds during idle back
ok, time for pc restart, getting the fun green lines and black dot artifacts
See this is where i wish multigpu was better, a single 1080 just cant handle 4k well enough
I pulled up my hardware monitors
It's not pinning me, I'm just not getting constant rates
this has to be some OBS bullshit trying to be """effecient"""
well, I'll have to look for an OBS alternative if I want to stream 4k
why does obs need gpu overhead to output efficiently
and not just scale it down
that was my exact quandery
im getting 21fps out because my gpu is pegged at 100%
also my bitrate out tanks while my gpu is overloaded
my GPU graph is just wonky
it'll spike to 100% then go back down to normal
i mean mine is just when im tabbed into game
My card's had a lot of issues over the years, I was entertaining the idea of getting a new card
But I'd just feel dirty getting one of the Super cards
just pop it out and dust it
ive always had a love hate relation with mine
$1100 for a 2080ti is just laughable
its just not quite good enough to run shit in 4k, and its $500 overkill to play in 1080p
$700 for a 2080S is stupid, but it's not like there's anyone to check Nvidea right now
I still think 4K is a meme
4k is only good for rpgs essentially
for gaming at least
Gaming is what I'm talking about also
