The cheapest storage options are when the Western Digital "EasyStore" go on sale every couple months
16TB for $300-$400
eh, i was looking at starting with around 4tb
If you're not building a NAS, a 4TB drive with an enclosure is ~$75
Some of the prebuilt Seagate/WD/Sandisk NASs aren't too much more
Then things like Synology or QNAS cost a retarded amount, even before you pay for drives
the biggest issue is i have next to no knowledge of nas stuff so idek what id be doing

I can't in good faith ever recommend someone use FreeNAS, despite it being what I use
it's such a royal pain in the ass
i had a cloud storage thing from wd at one point and it turned me off from all their shit
