To run a decent atm3 pack which i did for a bit was like $30 a month on a server
this thing is constantly complaining about running seconds behind while new chunks are generating
I really hate linux
but it works
but every time i use it i have to google the right things to type
The biggest issue is
linux is awesome
so is Firefox?
and uh
ehst else can be shilled
I'l pitch Docker to you Max
what if, everything you wanted to run on Linux, could be installed easily, manage its own dependencies, and network with all other apps you have running seamlessly
Modded mc needs so much single thread performance, and the old ass xeons most places use dont cut it
linux, firefox
seems pretty epic spoooy
networking, full stop, kills Linux for me
spooky*
Docker does all of that, right now
it's just cancer because it can't be configured in a way that makes sense
rip
give it a few years
I'm hoping in 5
The fact that to use Docker at scale right now, you neede a custom OS, to run a custom management interface, that STILL needs a metric fuck ton of customization (per instance) to even load a simple dockerfile
it's sad
and Linux fags "see no problem"
if every file, knows what it needs to work, the container should be able to manage assigning all of those automatically
/end rant
All i want
Is better multi cpu and gpu support
but why
multi-CPU is an intel meme, to sell xeons
Because then who cares that next gen gpus and cpus are more powerful, just add more to your current
that's how GPUs (used) to be
Kinda
hence why I had so many 460s
Amd is finally starting to go in the right direction for the cpu thing
No, fuck multi-CPU
I don't want server grade ships that have terrible performance
I want my ECC support on consumer chips
Give us consumer chips that can be run in multi cpu setups
But why
"upgrradeability" is a stupid reason
High clock speeds and more cores
Just look at how much trouble AMD is having on old AM4 chipsets
Cant cool a massive ass single die
but you can, just not with shitty stock coolers
But why have to move to annoying cooling when you could just run 2 sockets
>one sauce per meal
Nazis
Did arby's betray you?
BK we're on the road
BK has sauce?
Lower yields in massive chips will also make them less affordable compared to 2 small consumer chips
like barbque
ranch
yeah
Strange, I had no idea, I never think of BK as having sauces
what
it's fast food
I dont even remember when i last went to bk
ketchup mustard, whatever sure
but like Arby's has all their unique sauces, same with Ckick-fil-a, and even Mcdonalds
I don't think of any specific sauces when I think BK
Also while im ranting, give us back overclocking on xeons, the x5650 is getting too old to keep playing with
and Reggie, multi-CPU incentives shitty binning practices, where everything is only guarenteed to some threshold
I have been summoned
and you pay a premium to get decent silicon in your chips
Chemisty talk earlier
I'd rather AMD (and intel) were better at socket support
I still find is dumb that an oc'd server chip can beat a consumer chip made 5 years later
in what though Reggie, that's what matters
there are somethings that a Xeon was designed for
that it'll always be better at
Multithread and close in single thread
for 10x the price
well, not that much
$15 xeon vs $600 i76850k
Xeon still wins
there's no way, you have a $15 xeon that's giving you anything over 3.0GHz per thread
