you have a lot of blacks that need to be pushed through
indeed
and most of them fail
or drop out
which probably doesnt happen in canada kappa
you'd be wrong
we kick our niggers out too
I do like how you are comparing two, perhaps equally shit systems and saying yours is better
im not saying its better
im saying canadian schooling has lower standards
which it does
kinda like canadians in general
and that is defacto saying it is more shit
not at all pika
american schooling system has a lot of things that makes it equally as bad
im just saying the STANDARDS for what's "good" is lower
if the education standard is sub par then the entire thing is failing, so having a worse education standard is indicative of a worse system
American higher education is better
Our K-12 systems are about the same
yeah, that I would not argue
you do infact have better higher education
yeah we're good at getting high
education
That’s funny
it is
pika can you
vouch for these https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Academic_grading_in_Canada
Academic grading in Canada
Academic grading in Canada varies by province, level of education (e.g., elementary, secondary, and tertiary), by institution, and faculty. The following are commonly used conversions from percentage grades to letter grades, however, this is not necessarily meaningful, since ...
en.wikipedia.orgthis is mostly what i meant
the number to grade level
probably?
from these- and what i've heard from actual canadians
these are what they have
we just give percentage grades
in highschool
your highschool?
so the letter grade has been irrelevant for me since like grade 6
all highschools
letter grades are not used at least in the waterloo region
cannot vouch beyond that
Do you think that was better?
No letters
I see no reason to use letters over percentages
letters give you a range
I want to know exactly how I did
because letters let you get an 89.5% and call it an A
I don't give a shit if I was between a 95 and a 100
so yeah
still
when i was in school i always got both a letter grade and a score grade of 0-100
from NS
score grade?
what
I liked the idea, that you only had to try so hard
If you wanted an A, you work so hard for it
And are rewarded
Rather than handing out percentages
this is what ive seen a lot of
not sure what that is
We had something similar Max
Well, around here there’s literally no difference between a 90% and 100% at the end of the semester
GPA are the "points" you care about Pika
So a 1% difference, between 89 and 90
Big difference on GPA
we do not do GPA here
I still find it insane
well
i guess it's 10% difference
but 50% being a passing grade
Where does he live
canada
Is a D really passing though Max
Ghrek?
what is the passing grade for you?
i was mentioning how canadian schooling has lower standards
like 60+ with 60s being on the cusp of failing
C for me, so a 70
Ah, I see
but yeah
