The past can't be changed or forgotten, it's not like I'm talking about anything serious either.

Forgetting and completely forgoing the past and ignoring it because it might "hurt them" is stupid.

All I did was mention a possibility, which has no relation to the "bad past" you mention.

My mother used to do lots of drugs, and after I was born she stopped doing that and partaking in alcohol and etc.

She worked alone for me and my sister

part time jobs, many of them

cared for two children with very little help
