his intellect cannot be measured silly spooky
@Phijkchu_Pikachu do you agree that Complex Analysis should be the class after Algebra 1?
Leg I legitimately have no fucking idea what is taught in the US
Canada is quite similar
from what I garnered from ghrek
Its really not
In HS?
from what I have gathered from helping umbreon
Algebra 1 -> Geometry -> Algebra 2 + trig -> Pre-Calculus -> Calculus 1
A lot of overlap because there obviously is
Also remember me and ghrek have different systems
ah true
there is no standardization among provinces
NS isn't the same thingy
US has a standard
lol
we also do not do standardized testing here
i also dont follow standardized education so
thats a bad gauge on hs education pika
also fair
Umbreon is special needs
then I can point out I have also helped other people with homework
public schools are much worse
but do you thing geometry and trig should be taught with complex numbers?
It seems different to a degree that makes it uneasy for me to compare your system and mine
Oh is umbreon in a private school
like a rich boy
I think depending on how much in depth you go into geo and trig
im sure i released that information before but yes
Rich boy
if you go hardcore into those and have no room, then thats fine to leave it out and do it in uni, if it is just a basic look, might as well cover basic complex as well
totally
No wonder umbreons still alive
I think geometry was useless and should be replaced with complex analysis
you guys have those fancy ap ib class things though, so one of those could totally touch on complex
He would of been bullied to death if he was in a public school
calculus covered complex
like you are?
As a physics major, the lack of geometry we do in ontario fucked me
so I disagree
basic triangles?
geometry is somewhat useful
a month of study?
we do triangles
I meant more ellipses and other important shapes
so complex analysis stuff
elliptical geometry for solving for positions of planets was a pain in my first year intro to astro course
would have enjoyed at least a little ellipse talk in hs
nothing is useful
don't the equations for that use complex numbers though?
you can just google it
Not the way we did it
we did it the old fashion way that it was historically done before complex was a thing
we also for the sake of historical exploration dealt with epicycles and other incorrect models
the glass spheres in the sky using fourier transform to model the planets in an earth centric system?
Not at that level
the glass shpere system cracks me up
first problemset took me probably 70 hours to do for that course
because it was all elliptical geometry
I just think all these things that can use complexes should be taught with complexes
make everyone learn the fun part of math and maybe get more math students
complex is not taught at my uni until 3rd year (for mathmatical physics majors, it is never taught to regular physics majors)
how?
thats basic electromagnetism
We do not do it that way until E&M 3
which is a 4th year course
i was doing phasors freshman year
(although my E&M 1 teacher did teach us it but she kinda taught us above what we would do under the normal guy who teaches the course)
(and it was just tacked on in the last lecture and not tested on)
God you reminded me I need to pick my courses for next year
lets see how pikachu kills himself this year
linear systems is awesome
thats probably physics related in some way
Alright, so I am required to take Quantum physics 3 and E&M 3 which runs in the fall, that is 2/5 done in one move
pattern recognition, quantum computing
Leg I know nothing about that shit and would have no prereqs
I am also not interested in the QC stuff
