bad characters are only a small part of what's been wrong with the new movies

story directions and how they handle the characters is also bad
this trailer also contains another thing from legends
The state the universe is in at no point makes any sense
bad characters exacerbate this, because it makes everything just seem retarded
And it's not helped by the plot being stupid/braindead a lot of the time
that deathstar at the end doesnt look like it was blown up

The cinematic universe is just extremely restrained
I just dont see how Star Wars could go from telling stories like those in the clone wars to "women leader make her strong"
