Also getting 15cm of snow
End me
global warming is a lie
Kappa
The whole point of a story is to express a narrative. If the story isn't internally consistent and fails to explain itself to the viewer, that's poor execution. A "plot hole" is a contradiction to the previously established internal logic.
Check your privilege, movie critics
the phrase plot hole is often used incorrectly
see me earlier in #autism hboxKappa
why is that my default kappa
I have no idea of the context of most of your posts in that chat
actually i think i used it correctly in that case anyway
He's kind of right, or rather he could be
"plot hole" doesn't mean dramatic irony
But some people use it that way
isn't dramatic irony supposed to be when the audience knows something the characters don't?
yes, but then you have characters who act "irrationally" in the eyes of the viewer
then you have idiots who shouldn't be reviewing stuff
But you're right, I'm kind of missing the mark on that comparison Leg
That's a misunderstanding of the term on the op's part then
Then there are things that aren't plot holes, that are dumb
Oh yeah, definitely
Like the Star Wars sequel, where they open the door to space
And Leia flies in
You can assume there's some form of force field security on the ship
there are way too many plotholes to count in those movies
especially in the military strategy side
it was previously established that the empire was extremely effective at war, and the rebels managed to resist
so the ineptitude of both sides in VII and VIII makes no sense
Because the star wars world was infected with the marxist virus, hence the female general
By that I mean the characters in the world, not the product itself
but the white supremecist evil also is stupid
Star Wars is secretly redpilled
The first order fuckers had plenty of diversity hires of their own
Here's a scenario
In the first Jurassic Park, Dinosaurs fuck over the island and kill a lot of people
But for some reason in-universe, a couple decades later they do it all again in Jurassic world
I can't conceive of that being a realistic premise, but it's not a "plot hole"
Cover-up, only around half a dozen died the first time
Boom
I'm having trouble thinking of something I'd consider a plot hole
Take that you basement dweller
Most of the time, I assume it's just meant to be dumb or not well thought out
Or it's something that gets retconned
how did bruce wayne survive the nuke?
how did he get to japan
how did he do anything in Rises?
thats a very holey movie
People often confuse in universe rules for plot holes
Why do batman and bane fight with bare hands
Batman has his dumb moral code, but bane is a brutish criminal
people like to claim universe rules to cover for bad scripting
oh don't get me wrong, those people are retarded too
but if a universe establishes something is how a world works, it would have to be inconsistent with another in universe rule for me to have a problem with it
PLOT HOLE
there are 4 more acnologia level dragons
In many cases I'd rather have a plot hole than a really dumb in-universe rule to explain away a misstep in writing
OK, I thought of one
Harry Potter
All of it
They never use the Time Turner again
They were all destroyed in book 5
plot hole
all of the S;G0 anime
everything in those last 5 episodes makes no sense in universe
Time travel in the harry potter world has this weird cyclical mechanic to it
Sirius Black was essentially schroedinger's cat
I stick with them never using it again is either a plot hole, or the author retconning it out of the universe
there's also the issue of whether because something hasn't been explained yet means its a plot hole or just a secret
I said, all the remaining time turners get destroyed at the end of book 5
That's a load of shit and you know it
Dumbledore is also gay
It is, but it's canon
And Hermione black
that is in contrast to what the first book says
How do you know she didn't just change her race at the end of Book 5?
Between school semesters she ate a lot of fried chicken
i have never read the books, is that a universe remaking thing like jojo part 6?
I mean, they got smashed at the end fight in the department of mysteries
ALL THE TIME TURNERS IN THE WORLD
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
And no more can ever be made
Well akkkkshully
