The pc i used to host off of if i bought a similarly speced server was $450/month

Pays for itself in 4 months

i made my pc 4 years ago too, so i bet similar specs would be much cheaper now

Its basically adding more ram makes prices go insane for no reason, like 16gb of ram really isnt that expensive

Not to mention all of these servers are running a fuckload of mc servers at once, you will never find dedicated hardware

I stand corrected I guess, genuinely thought you'd have a hard time finding decent DDR4 RAM for under $10 a GB

You try and find a server with 32gb of ram and youre gonna pay stupid amounts

I'm finding a lot of DDR4 8gb ram for around 50-70

Its slightly heavier server side but its not that taxing
