How does Blizzard even justify charging $10 for that
NVM, $15
Go fuck yourselves blizz
$15 worth of content right there
Definitely
There's no price where it's a good deal
>calling diablo a fighting game
which is stupid
that's retarded
almost as stupid as metal gear survive's $10 save slots
In a free game, I'm ok paying for characters sure
Like in Mobas
Even though most of the time they're overpriced
By selling copies
That's how
That's how games should make money
I think SMITE had the best option for buying all of the characters out of all mobas. something like $30 for every current and future god
Hi-Rez liked to do that with their games, on of their redeaming qualities
League would never do that
but karp listen, single characters for $15 is a rip-off
I'm suprised Blizard did it for Overwatch, but not HotS
>quality
The effort put into them is nowhere near as high as they pretend it to be
Voiced lines take so little effort
Even moreso for Blizz
they aren't exactly the highest quality voice lines though
these aren't S rank japanese VA's or something karp
They own recording studios, they book two VAs (male and female) for a couple days
They localize in what, 5 languages
so that's 10 VAs, only the 2 English ones being any good
Their cutscenes are a joke in D3, it's layered parchment
Companies should expect post-launch content to drive sales
Because only a fraction of people buy on launch
karp that is such a leap of logic
You want to produce games with a long tail, that sell for years
that's not what we're saying
we're saying it needs to be offered for less money
They are Karp
People keep buying the game
People; to this day, buy Diablo 3
It's one of the best selling PC games of all time
It's been what, 6 years?
but it's still income karp
No shit
There's a team porting it to Switch right now, sure
but the main D3 staff is TINY
also karp, offering that necromancer class this for $5 would still more than likely pay off the cost of production
they would
Do you see the patches they put out each season
Calling it "free cotnent" is almost misleading
also karp, the cheaper something is, the more likely someone will buy it. which means you get money from more people who you wouldn't otherwise get it from
There's next to no content
And Karp, what Dialga's talking about is a demand curve
you can plot this shit
This is the biggest update so far
And the first two bullets cost $15
Rifts were already a thing
The zones are the same fucking maps from launch
And the last bullet ties in with those zones functioning like the rest of the game already did
karp that's not what we're saying
That's definately the point I'm making Karp
we're saying the price isn't justifiable
it could be cheaper and turn a profit
I'm saying these patches are insignificant as shit
And could be listed in a sinlge line, other than the Necromancer
Which they are charging $15 for
See, it's not even that I hate giving blizzard money
i'd kill for actual content for Diablo
Because i'd shell out and play it
At least when they added the crusader, there was a campaign that went along with it
But they put in the absolute bare minimum in terms of content, and then charge for adding a 7th character
There wont be a Diablo 4, just like there wont be a Warcraft 4
We're getting a D3 Switch port
Karp, are you really asking why they're not making a Warcraft 4
It's the same rationale for both
