I only played pokemon
i played some of the game that came out on steam/mobile
if that counts

never got a yugioh card nor watched the anime ever
still have no idea what the fuck it even is
I really like the yugioh anime
i watched the anime ages ago but I don't remember much
I also still have all of my pokemon cards
I remeber all of the first arc of yugioh to a tee
but after that it gets a bit diluted
I can actually give you an almost perfect transcript of the first 3 episodes of yugioh
maybe only 2
yugioh abridged is the only true yugioh

My two favorite lines in all of yugioh
are still "My deck has no pathetic card Kaiba!!!!" and "SAY GOODBYE TO EXODIAAAAAAAAAAAA" which happen in episodes 1 and 2? or 3 respectively

in actual yugioh the weaker monsters are extremely useful

if you somehow draw all five parts of exodia on the first turn
you automatically win, creating one of the few ways to get a ZTK (zero turn kill)
that sounds absurdly unlikely
