this is not a relativity course, the numbers he just gave us are bad

it just tells us if the thing decelerates fast enough (is negative acceleration), just assume it hits terminal velocity
so all of the different metorites are just at terminal
The reason I am angry about my programming assignment is, almost no one else did that shit
because they did not spend the time to figure it out
now they get more time
A handful of people got it to work using this property, which was not how they were suppose to do it
I think I was the only one to actually get it to work
the way he wanted it to
Anyways, gotta go
thats enough ranting for now
programing sounds like aids
no his class is aids
The prof actually has gone on reccord at faculty meetings that he should not be teaching this course
my roomate is always raging about programing bullshit
lol
Because the prof codes in a ton of languages, but he is trash at explaining things like syntax and what not
and he mainly uses languages that are not python
syntax only matters in python
which is what we use
I picked it up by trail, but I can imagine it fucking over a lot of people in my class
trial
the syntax is indent scopes the same
But yeah
fuck that course
it did its job, I went from knowing nothing about coding to being decent at it
but fuck it regardless
you could probably read the official python tutorial and do the examples to reach the same level
Could have just bought the textbook my course uses
and beyond
it is how I learned most of it
The textbook is actually quite good
it is based around computational physics problems, but it explains everything well
have you learned classes, generators, decorators, inheritance, polymorphism or multithreading yet?
Ha ha
not a real programming course yet
It never was
inheritance is when the fun starts
the point is to basically get to a point that you can do some basic data anaylsis and do numerical integration, differentiation, des, and linear algebra
multithreading is where the hell starts
I hope umbreon is okay
he was very angry last night
are you really not going to learn about classes at all? thats a very basic part of modern programming
I can go over everything we learn
1 sec
In order
basic mathmatical operations
importing functions
for, while, if, else, elif statements
variable types
was before that
print and input statements
we apparently covered break and continue, but I have never used it
those are useful
lists, arrays, both how they work, what you can do with them, etc
dicts?
not sure what that is
dictionaries
oh, no, never talked about that
it lets you use anything for the index instead of just numbers
reading an array from a file
thats a numpy thing
user defined functions
yeah, most of our work was with numpy
i'm using numpy right now
covered a bit of good coding practice stuff
such as naming variables, comments etc
then we changed gears and did graphs, density plots, hisograms,
we skipped the section in the textbook on 3d graphs
Then we talked about accuracy and speed
numerical error, inherent rounding error
floating point error
integrals and derivatives, did like 4 different techniques for integration and 2 or 3 for derivatives
and errors on both integrals and derivatives
so you went from learning programming to learning digital signal processing
basically yeah
this course is really just a "here is the shit you need to know for physics and nothing else" course
