yeah 5 people are willing to spend 10k a year on him
especially if this shitshow keeps up
thats a really bad business plan
its a bad business plan
but its better than my patreon with zero patrons
with how small his community is there is now way he should be able to make ebnough money
if you think of it like a normal business
he has some angel investors
considering how bad his content production is, he shouldn't get rewarded for this crap
but this is what i'm saying though
and he has until they back out to turn a profit
urealms shouldn't be seen as a business
that's rob's first mistake
it could be a business, but rob has not set it up like that
if he set it up like a business people could actually hold him accountable
hes doing what he always has done and its still working so far
I don't know how much longer it will
thats the problem, if rob keeps making crap like this those 5 people who fund him could leave
Rob talks about doing this for 20 30 years
and then the buff wizzers he's roped into quitting their jobs will be without income
I cannot see it lasting more than 5
i wouldn't be surprised if it ended this year
but anyways, I have to shower, I will be back later to rant
if you have employees working for you and depending on you for a salary you need to grow up and run your business like a proper business
What is a proper business
one with actual schedules and deadlines
which of the wizards actually quit thier job?
nisoven?
wasn't coe going to
The artists probably
isn't coe's job basically twitch?
and deadbones was going to move to canada iirc
coe's also streaming everyday
i don't see coe dropping his streamaday
ever
he was still working as a consultant when i still watched his streams
idk if justin has a job, though if he does or not. he was like that pre rob
i don't think justin does
he streams fulltime
and it's working out alright for him
hcjSpicy
i think coe still does. i know nicomie 100% does
because rob employs him
(justin)
i don't think rob has more to do with justin's success than all the other people he streams with tbh
justins stream also is very generous to him
rob's current business is "make 10k every 4 months from streams and survive off patreon"
when it was initially supposed to be every week
and patreon was going to be dissolved
justin was also living with his family for a while
the every week thing was a bit nieve
especially sense he has other things going on he needs to do
"other things he needs to do" like a 3 minute meme video he spends way too much time making
and that game he'll never finish
uquest
i used to think it would be a good game
yeah, not a single negative comment on the rob video, read all of them
i don't actually know anything about uquest other than all the disappointment every time it is mentioned
it was supposed to be an action rpg sidescroller set in the unforgotten realms universe
with comedy and references everywhere
but then he divorced his wife who was also the art director
NotLikeThis
i think the kickstarter might also have been funded largely by a couple people
now the project is using sixelona(?)'s art and the url universe
there have been no public releases of gameplay video or assets in probably at least a year
1310 backers pledging about a $100 each
bu rob has not abandoned it because he used DVZ to gain additional funding for the project last fall
he didn't make 1M
i thought he made 300k
118k
big donations will bring the average up
wait i did math wrong
i realize that, zingly
i guess there's also that one 10000 pledge
that poor dude
and rob has said he is against early access, so we won't see anything about the game until he has completed it to satisfaction
sounds like you fire Kappa
