try jumping off the island directly into a hinox fight
Upgrading armor, finding better gear, getting new abilities
getting heart containers
getting health and stamina ups
two handed weapons absolutely shit on bosses
getting stamina bars
stamina is the most satisfying of the two
because of all the climbing
maxing out the climbing gear
yeah that dosen't really seem like much progression though
maxing out the swimming gear
It has less progression than terraira overall, it is just handled better
you progress from weak to invinsible FailFish
by a long shot
the gear upgrading looks grindy and annoying to do

Dodge timing can take some learning to do properly
but thats the whole game pretty much
if you can dodge and counter you can beat pretty much anything
