If a game is not good without a mod, I probably will not buy it

I usually research my games a little before purchase unless I know it will be good

I was just buying games and refunded them when they sucked

but steam only gives you 20 or so refunds

so now I have to do it on a new account

so if the mechanics suck but the story is good

ill just refund it

if the mechanics aren't good enough to support 100 hours of gameplay I don't like the game

I will playthrough something that has non impresive mechanics if it has a good story and amazing soundtrack

Mechanics have to be not complete shit I agree

some of my favorite games are the beginners guide and stanley parabole

if they are decent enough to make playing the game not frusterating, I will keep playing it

but if a game has a pretty good story and pretty good mechanics I don't care

and if the game has story that meshes well with the mechanics I don't believe it exists

but all the vive games ive played have been a bit disapointing
