From what they have released to get hype, it seems good.

Basically a lot of the first chapter was playable

That stuff is designed to get people hyped. Remember No Mans Sky and how everyone thought it would be good?

Because they hyped people up before the game came out

But did no man's sky have a demo that was the game's first chapter to show off a lot

It didn't

So people only had hype

But there is final game demo gameplay

So we know what the game will play like

You have to realize a large portion of the people that will be playing this will be playing a month or so after release

Only the true fans will be playing non stop on launch day

The casual market is probably going to be the majority. They will go by gamestop a week or so after launch and be like "This seems interesting"

And again, the demo doesnt mean shit. The game could be total garbage afterwards and you want people to judge off a small portion of the game?

But have these examples had gameplay from the full game

Again, demos and video mean jack shit. They are showing you some of the best parts to get you hyped. You can only understand what a game will truly be like after you have played the full deal

You can sample the food

If it tastes bad they won't let you taste it or give you. A outdated demo

So we got platnium and judgement demos

And another reason Final Fantasy isnt out yet is because all the nomineeds have been fully playable as a full game for a while and have been judged to be good. Has final fantasy 15 been FULLY playable for a while? No. Its not fully playable

I wasnt saying the game is bad. I was saying there is no way to know what the full experience will be like based off a demo, which is designed to be good

Because they wanted to spend 2 months to release a better game

And that is fine. But the nominees are all games that are fully playable and have been for a little while

The newest game I saw that was game of the year was Titanfall 2 and that was released October 28th

That is a few weeks to really look at the quality of the game and say "This is good" or "This is absolute horse shit"

Just a bit annoyed they don't do the 2016 award after 2016 ended

Not many more games are going to be released from now on

Probably because winter is busier than summer. Summer, tons of the core game playing audience are free for 3 months. Winter season, its less than a month of freedom
