the argument shouldn't be one of price, or at least not solely. if price was the only factor that influenced purchasing decisions, the internet would have wiped out most of the games industry already
Nintendo isnt trying to innovate. They are providing a cheaper way for people to relive childhoods and introduce a new generation to some great games
the reasons im interested in getting the mini nes (instead of using roms) are: authenticity of the experience, desire to support the company, and belief that it will be easier for me to play these games on this system than to download the roms
all they're doing atm is nostalgia farming

Its helping them get back on solid ground after the Wii U and thats great. They were my childhood

I am opposed to the use of emulators on principle alone
I only use them if I want to stream or record a game and I cant do it because I lack capture means. I havent used an emulator in a long time

but casually I must own the game before I would do anything
so rip the fire emblem dream, some of the games go for 200 dollars on amazon
