Huh, it seems they changed the center point of monster spawners in minecraft to the actual blocks' center
oh they did that in the recent 1.8

For at least half of the "beta" period they treated it like a full release. The whole actual 1.0 release I found funny as that was the arbitrary update they picked to go "full"
i mean, the full 1.8 came out over a year ago
maybe that's just the fealing given by the Perpetual beta effect

Never had that feeling with starbound. Though other people have gotten pissy over that games dev time (sometimes for VERY silly reasons)
