I actually hate watching SoL and comedy anime, after a while I did anyways.

but I'm 100% fine with reading their manga

because holy fuck SoL is slow

I imagine the fact that you can get through it faster is a part of why you prefer the medium more

I read at an above average speed but

I do take in panels BGs and etc.

I find there are more series that I like, regardless of medium than there are times where I'll harp on "the anime is better" or "the novel is better"

Also as a note, I feel like part of this opinion is more on current era anime

Yeah there does seem to be less shows nowadays they give you the complete package with high quality

from the limited selection I have seen from current era versus old era

I actually think a lot of manga is really lazy rn by volume, most new series I look at have pretty subpar art

I probably am cherrypicking the cream of the crop manga

the other part is though, the good manga are what get a lot of the adaptations

If you only consider the bottom shit of manga, we do not really have much to compare directly to anime

The main thing that manga has over anime as far as I can imagine since I do not read it, would be the fact that manga can have far more detail. Both visually and text wise
