Konosuba movie is 10 minutes of the VAs talking about the movie live action then a short film that cuts out most of volume 5 and ends with an anime original ending that undercuts how its actually supposed to end

just read the novel its so much better

it also includes the important scenes from Explosions 1 so I doubt we're getting that animated ever

and the plant girl is cut completely

despite that being extremely important later in the series

all the budget was spent on the 15 minute anime original sequence

and it doesn't even look that good

Konosuba movie was fine, felt about the same quality as S2

Anime original fight wasn't needed, but it wasn't offensively bad

Only part I genuinely hated was the pre movie segment

I think the designs used for EVERY Crimsons daemon was terrible

the whole joke about Megumin's dad is completely left out

every one of their outfits was drab and uninspired

they never explain how she is from a poor family in a masters of magic town

that felt like it was cut

Wiz visiting to meet a craftsman

they cut at least one bedroom scene too

this is just left out

the art and cropped visuals annoyed me far more than any of the writing or story changes

and it's been a while since I read volume 5, but I think they merged the last two night together

the frozen window and Sylvia interrupting

The movie was honestly better than I was expecting

looking at the novel, there is actual romance stuff in the novel, but none in the movie at all

it felt like a long S2 OVA

its was half of what it needed to be for me to recommend it

the anime in general, doesn't want to nail Kazuma down with Megumin
