why is the demon hunting exam setup in a way that all the entrants can get easily wiped out if there are a couple idiots who die early and get eaten by the same demon

also shouldn't they want a lot of people to become demon hunters, why are they killing them?

It's really epic when characters can die at any moment

its a shonen its not like death actually matters because they can always make up new magic to resurrect them

we're on like season 4 now

its not like HxH where hunters aren't actually good guys or an army so its fine if they die

i guess Naruto also has this plot hole until Boruto baby mode

The swords are extremely expensive iirc, that's one reason I could think of

they're all made in a small extremely hidden village

I'm also pretty sure they get free benefits in a lot of places, and if you can't actually survive the exam then you're not good enough anyways.

The big guy for one, is most likely meant to be an obstacle there is nothing against just running from him, I mean that'd mean in a few hundred years no one had passed, which doesn't make sense. I imagine the area is quite large. Also compared to anything later though when the demons are actually strong/have abilities, that guy is nothing compared to them.

I mean, it makes perfect sense to not want underqualified hunters, who can't be relied on to take care of demons

And like Max said, the mountain peak is big enough that not everyone runs into the same demons

I can't rank waver because I haven't read the entire source

All of these except Arifureta are ongoing, but I've caught up on them all

Fire Force might be a little biased, the backgrounds for the manga are extremely detailed a lot of the time and I enjoy that a lot

Anime seems to have a good style though, especially when fire, an effect is constantly prevalent

Vinland has good art too, but the anime has CGI boats, which throw everything off a lot

I thought Crunchyroll and Funi weren't sharing shows anymore

its also funny that the first season isn't licensed anywhere

this show is a perfect precursor to the wonderful new Re:Zero Arc with all its Rem fanservice

the new OPM episode is actually decent animation quality

they made the CGI not terrible
