And I lack the ability to be objective on Konosuba, other than saying I like it a lot

Whether it's a "faithful" adaptation or not
The anime is really funny, and captures the spirit of the novels imo
First arcs are kind of meh, narrative wise, agreed
Overlord is my favorite of the 4
The anime actually got decently far
Which is rare
Covered up to volume 8 or 9
Overlord is so close to being good
so, very close
what's your issue with it spooky
Novel wise
I don't care about the CG that much
i hope tanya gets another season, it was gud
the CGI doesn't matter
But novel wise, the series keeps building towards... something.... anything
and then deflates with a time-skip
Or with some stupid "solution"
Not spoiling or anything
But every time it looks like something is going to happen, nothing does
I don't like the CG in the anime, but it's honestly not that bad as far as CG use goes
I really like the way the novels are written, don't get me wrong
I'm just disappointed where the story's gone
i haven't finished the novels.
If I had to rank the four shows in terms of how much I enjoyed them, konosuba > overlord > tanya > re:Zero
liked all 4 though
(was doing work and missed the conversation)
I mean, the world is just 1930s era europe with magic and god actually exists
so I can agree
character wise I liked some of them, but can all in general agree
I can agree to that too
ln's do not count
can only judge shit based on anime
but have you kept up with parallel paradise max
I think not
literal isekai of the decade
>yet you read re:zero
Kappa
Parallel paradise is the gold standard for isekai and you know it
rezero has a trap, all anime with those are bad
100%
