Re:Zero's world doesn't get cool until after the anime is over, honestly

Well, I should say the slice of the world shown in the anime, is fairly boring overall

It has the problem of mentioning cool things going on, and then not doing anything with them (until later in the WN/LN)

The anime put me off from the series, until I gave it another chance reading the novel

I don’t know why I was inquiring so much about this

Seeing as I’m never going to watch it

Overlord never really gets good, it sits on the cusp of being good and has for like 6 or 7 volumes now

Tanya is mediocre, but had good production value in the anime at least

And I lack the ability to be objective on Konosuba, other than saying I like it a lot

the stuff in the konosuba anime is the worst parts save for the darkness is a rapist arc

Whether it's a "faithful" adaptation or not

The anime is really funny, and captures the spirit of the novels imo

the anime is great, its just every arc after season 2 except the darkness ones are even better

First arcs are kind of meh, narrative wise, agreed

Overlord is my favorite of the 4
