"I don't really want anything"
And to an extent I still live pretty frugal
But I can definitely tell, that having money makes me WAAAAAYYY more willing to spend money
It's weird, I probably spend my money on the most insane shit, in most peoples eyes
Weird tech, books, servers, etc.
But then like, I never once upgraded from the shitty couch I found that someone was throwing out
Despite; whenever I'd sit on it, I'd think about how uncomfortable it was
I need Leg to weigh in, the only other person here who has disposable income now
I mean, I assume you make decent money now, even after you account for rent/utilities
Compared to when you were in uni
i've bought books like this https://smile.amazon.com/Kingdom-Agarttha-Journey-Hollow-Earth/dp/1594772681/
and this https://smile.amazon.com/Viking-Spirit-Introduction-Mythology-Religion/dp/1533393036/ recently
idk, maybe I'm just an outlier then
I felt like after I started making money, I was way more willing to spend then I used to be
huh, interesting
To have fun in, or to further some other goal?
Well, if your goal is to: "obtain degree X"
Nova ---> either GMU or VCU
Oh, I thought Nova was down in Richmond too
What's your cc down there?
If you're chasing a cheap degree, you do 2 years of CC, then transfer to a state college
But it all depends on what you really want to do
There are better ways to spend 4 years, that work for a lot of people also
If you want to have more "fun" in college though
Or "find yourself"
cc is a mistake
Best off finding a 4-year program on a large campus
And experiencing that
Win the PHD race
I hate giving this kind of advice, because it always makes me sound/feel like some old man
Why can't society teach kids how this all really works
Go find a NEET commune
Since I was not here when you asked, I did not read throughout my teens/middleschool time, so I'd have to jump back farther for my favorite book. I read a lot of Clifford the big red dog.
Kappa
I do not really read much. Too nusy
I did read book thief in grade 9 though, basically the only thing mentioned I have read during your conversation
I need to try and remember all the shit I was made to read. Lets see.
I read that in grade 10
So I did, book thief, kite runner, I forget grade 11, great Gatsby. Then for the plays I did romeo&juliet, twelfth night, some french play not by Shakespeare, then hamlet
I also read chronicles of a death fortold and heart of darkness in grade 12
I think that is all of them
I do not typically like reading all that much.
I could not be bothered. I'd watch Rob streams.
that was my highschool time at home
clearly the better choice Kappa
