:re as of right now is pretty rushed from what I just realised. They cut out all of the build up, the jokes and trying to get to know the quinx squad in general, in favor of "Hey lets get our boy Kaneki back into action for the egdemasters"

The action also feels really

Like, the choregrophy of the action is really off

With repeated animations

The lack of substance has been around since season 1

and lousey unimpactful hits

it by and large has been action and edge

In the manga they had multiple moments with one to 2 panel glimpses of the old Kaneki
